Reverend Donald Hoore Celebrates

52 Years of Ordained Ministry

Reverend Donald Henry Hoore was born in 1930. He achieved a ThL from Morpeth Australian College of Theology in 1957. He was Deaconed in 1957 in the Diocese of Riverina and priested in 1958 in the Diocese of Riverina.

Reverend Hoore held the position of Curate in Broken Hill from 1957 - 58,  and in Leeton from 1958 - 61.

He was Priest in Charge of Balranald from 1962 - 67, Mulwala from 1967 - 69, Urana 1969, Coolamon 1970 - 73, and Eliz S/Vale 1973 - 75.

Reverend Hoore was Locum Tenens at Tocumwal/Finley 1968, and Culcairn 1969, Ganmain 1981, Wentworth/ Urana 1982, Lake Cargelligo/ Bexley 1984.

He was the Rector of Barellan 1975 - 79, and the Rector of Wentworth 1984 - 87.

He was given permission to officiate in Sydney in 1979 - 84.

Reverend Donald is currently retired in the Diocese of Riverina whilst still holding  General Licence.
